About Us
History
Our story starts in 2014 as a Homeschooling Cooperative called Freedom Scholars for America.
- Long Ago-The first freedom scholar for America co-op began
- 2014- A couple of moms got tired of driving to Shelley and decided to start their own co-op in Pocatello
- 2014- We met for free in the upstairs of the Local Elks Lodge
- 2017 – We outgrew the Elks lodge and moved to the veteran’s memorial building
- 2019- Demand was growing and we hated turning people away so we moved to the Leavitt Center with more classrooms
- 2022- We outgrew the Leavitt Centre and moved to the Calvary Chapel
- 2024 We changed our name to Quest Homeschool Community, streamlined our procedures & clarified our mission
Our co-op answered the problem of socialization, extracurriculars, and peer learning. We were able to capture all the benefits of group activities with all the blessings of a home education. With TJED roots, Christian values, and passionate parents we had similar goals and values and clarified them in our mission & vision statements below.
